NFL Tries to muscle Redskins

Is it just a coincidence, or is this threat from the NFL Commisioner Rodger Goodell a coordinated attack warning against the Redskins taking further legal action against cap penalties?
When articles about the Redskins former defensive coordinator Gregg Williams started coming out weeks ago. It was widely reported that the Redskins had been cleared. However after the Redskins joined the Cowboys in arbitration against the league suddenly Goodell is investigating the Redskins again. Goodell should start his investigation by calling up his former boss Paul Tagliabue who was in attendance for the infamous Bounty Bowl II Dec 10 1989. This was the second meeting between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles in 1989. In the first Bounty Bowl the Eagles put a 200 dollar bounty on Cowboys kicker former Eagle Luis Zendejas. In that game which Zendejas left with a concussion Cowboys lost 27-0. The Eagles head coach who implemented this bounty system hired Gregg Williams as his defensive coordinator in 1990. So why stop at punishing the Redskins? Why not punish the Eagles and the NFL Commissioner should punish itself as well since the NFL has been aware of this for over twenty years. CBS Sports hyped the game even televising wanted posters for players with
bounties listed.

Josh Morgan

The Redskins signed Josh Morgan on
March 14. Drafted in 2008 by the 49ers the former VaTech receiver was regarded as a boom or bust type player. Morgan
the 6th round local product hailing from H.D. Woodson High School in DC grew up rooting
for the Redskins. Morgan is a receiver
who looked to be on the verge when
he suffered a broken leg 5 games into the season. Listed at 6' 219 lbs Morgan has worked hard on his speed
and stamina with former 49ers teammate superstar Vernon Davis.
Morgan and Davis worked out together
with a trainer who put together grueling
sprint workouts to improve their game
speed. Morgan is an addition that could give the Redskins an option
that can along with new addition receiver Pierre Garcon stretch the
field and take it the distance on any
play.

2012 NFL Draft 33 days counting down!

Thirty Does DC Dirty

Well paid ingrate Laron Landry trash talked the Redskin organization on his way out of town, and made negative remarks about new Redskin safety Brandon Merriweather.
The Redskins used their number one pick in the 2007 draft and Laron Landry was given a generous 41 and a half million dollars for a five year contract. In 2010
Laron only played in ten games , then in 2011 he only played in 8 games due to his nagging Achilles injury. The Redskins were forced to go in another direction after it became apparent that
Dirty 30 which is Landry's nickname given by teammates refused to have the tendon surgically repaired. It may have been a different story if Sean Taylor had not been tragically murdered in his own home by some bungling thieves.
Left intact the infamous area 51 (the addition of Taylor's 21 and Landry's 30 )could have been a dominant safety duo for years. After Sean Taylor's death Laron was moved from strong safety to Taylor's free safety position.
Although Landry is a great athlete he
clearly was not great in coverage against receivers. Landry often was out
of position and frequently missed on tackles while launching himself like a missile trying to knock people out for the instant gratification of highlight oohs and ahs. In an age where the NFL is penalizing players for leading with the helmet just the dumb nickname "Dirty Thirty"should have been a big red flag indicating lack of character. The fans nor the Redskins deserve to be trash talked by the wanna be bodybuilder.
This guy was an immature person that was more worried about beating Clinton Portis in a sprint outside of practice, than taking the necessary steps to stay on the field. Hope you can start more than eight games next year for The Jets. You were a disappointment for this Redskin fan.
It's funny to me that Brandon Merriweather managed to make two more tackles than Laron in the same time period and had 12 interceptions
to Landry's 4.

Pierre Garçon

Pierre Garçon is a receiver who may well be on his way to becoming an elite playmaker. Even without a Qb last year he managed to snag 70 balls! Had
Peyton played last year there is no reason to think 100 catches was out of the question. The 6ft 210lbs Garçon
is a winner of consecutive DivisionIII
National Championship Mount Union
teams. Garçon is a very fast receiver,
although only 4.48 speed in the 40. His speed off the line shows. He is able to get off the line quickly ,and consistently gets open.
I'm sure the Colts 2008 6th rounder had been on Shannahan's radar for a long time. In my mind Garçon's one handed grab during the 2010 season right in front of Laron Landry's hard charging knockout whiff, cemented Garçon as a playmaker. In that game he burned the Redskins for over a hundred yards.

Focusing in on RG3

RG3 vs Luck

As a lifetime fan of the Redskins I was both elated and amazed by RG3 and the up tempo Qb show that his pro day
was. At one point when the camera panned toward Mike Shannahan, it appeared to me that although poker faced Shanny tried to act, he had to gnaw at his hand to keep from
breaking into a big grin. It became very apparent, transparent that Shannahan the acknowledged quarterback guru
was thinking please, please let Luck
Go number 1! RG3 zipped his passes
all over the field with laser like accuracy and flow that was quite electric. The speed of his rollouts, his footwork, and his overall throwing mechanics are flawless. Even at a sprint when he releases the ball his
throwing technique is textbook perfect.
As a fan of the Washington Redskins
I have never been more excited about
a prospect. The last franchise type Quarterback the Skins had running the offense was Joe Theisman who's career was prematurely ended, by Hall of Fame linebacker Lawrence Taylor in 1985! This Baylor program in my opinion with its terrible defense was
able to beat powerhouse Oklahoma the preseason number 1 , because of what RG3 can do. Baylor was able to beat an OKlahoma team that has great athletes all over the field. This should be an eye opener, as Baylor
had never beaten Oklahoma, and
had not been to a bowl game since 1992! Yesterday was a great day for Redskin fans because Luck had a great Pro day, The
"Suck for Luck" plan secretly was
engaged as soon as the Colt organization realized Peyton was not
going to play. Colt's organization made a shrewd decision to put in place a player that many believe is the most can't lose
prospect since 1998 when Peyton was
drafted the number one overall. I think Luck will be a great player but in watching
both players what can Luck do, that RG3 is not able to trump? Let's compare RG3 worlds class speed vs
Luck nice mobility for a large Qb. RG3
40 combine 4.41 official vs Luck 40 of 4.59. RG3 bested Luck in major statistical categories throwing the football and was able to win the
Heisman Trophy. RG3 graduated in three years with a real degree and is working on a masters. Coming out of a military family background he seems
to have the intangibles, work ethic, and attitude that will help him fully develop
his potential at the next level. I love this move and will hold my breath until draft day. One last note on RG3 arm throwing motion is much better than Luck's arm motion. Luck has a release motion that is a little sideways across
his body.
